why havent i started my period yet?

i am 15 years old and i have never experienced my period. why is this? does it mean i won't be able to have children when i'm older? all my friends have started but i haven't:( what can i do? please help

thank you very much for this feedback! my mum was a 'late bloomer' so i suppose i am just following in her puberty footsteps. thanks again for your help :)

Hi!
IF you were my patient, I would do a complete exam and physical.  I would look for things such as breast development and pubic and underarm hair.
I would ask you some questions about your mom/dad grandparents and about how old they were when they went through puberty.
I would ask about your height and growth curve.
Chances are very good that you are just a "late bloomer", but I would consider doing a pelvic exam/ultrasound to check to be sure that all of the organs are present and normal.
