yeast infection that NEVER goes away

yeast infection that NEVER goes away

im 20 years old and still a virgin so no std risks but i am on the mirena iud for endometriosis. i have never had a yeast infection until i got the mirena iud inserted in dec 09. i had it removed in march 2010 but my yeast infections never went away after removal. i've been on both store brought and prescription meds, change of diet and clothing, yogurt inserts everything yet it never goes away! ive been tested for diabeties 5 times and it all comes back normal. any ideas to how i can treat it or why im getting it? im at a lost! ive tried both herbal/natural treatments and prescriptions yet i doesnt respond to anything.

Hi!
Persistant/recurrent yeast is definitely as pesky problem!  If you were my patient, I would do and exam and wet mount to be certain there is still yeast present.  If so, I would prescribe Diflucan which is an oral medication.
Sometimes what seems to be a yeast infection is actually a reaction to topical/intravaginal medications.  If this is the case, hydrocortisone cream might help.
Good luck!
