by Ingi_80, Jun 22, 2009 12:20PM
Dear doc!
I am 28years old, have two healthy kids b.-99 & -02. Then I have changed husband and we had tried get a baby since 2007. In sept.-07 I had ectopic pregnancy and one syct, that was removed. Then a second time mars-08, and this time they removed 70% of one tube and one full ovary. My period has been fine. Then now about 3 month I had sme very difficult time psycological, and been taking a lot of prescription drugs, valium, anti vomit, gastrite meds and even HEROIN for som time in very small doses thou... Then Now I am 4 weeks late with my period, have all preg.signs and even breastmilk! But Bouth Urin-HCG and Beta HCG was negative! What can be the caust?? Why? I live in Ethiopia, but are swedish, and here they do not have ant vaginal ultrasounds, so I am not sure that a normal could help at this stage... What shall I do? Can I be pregnant? Can any drugs give me false negative hcg-tests or can they effect to not produce hcg in my blood cause of the drugs?

Help me please, I do not know where to turn!

HI!
I think the medications you are taking are causing your symptoms.  Some types of anti-nausea medications, and some other types of medications can cause galactorrhea (which is abnormal production of breast milk).  They can also stop your periods.  Heroin and other narcotic drugs can stop your periods too--not to mention that they are very addicting.  I doubt that you are pregnant, but you should have your prolactin level checked.  I'll bet money that it is elevated!
By the way, your best bet for conception is In Vitro fertilization.  Once your tubes are removed, it will be very difficult to get pregnant.  If you do conceive again, you are at EXTREMELY high risk for another tubal pregnancy.  Make sure you are back to your healthy psychological baseline and off all the medications before you try again!
Good luck!
