by Aktx, Oct 23, 2009 04:14PM
I am 100% a virgin
But I have one sore on my vagina that looks like a canker sore in your mouth?
It hurts to touch it
And a lot of sites describe that kinds sore as being herpes related!?!

I don't know if my older sister used my bath exfoliating scrubby?
but I don't think she has herpes
Please help!!!!!

Hi!
It is possible that virgins can have Herpes.  Usually, it is type one and has been transmitted from the mouth by touching both areas(mouth and genital area) with the fingers--like when bathing or showering.  If you were my patient, I would want to run some blood tests to figure out what it is.  I would test for both herpes 1 and 2.  If those were negative, it could be something else going on (like the post below).  It would be important to know, because if it is herpes there are medications that can reduce the symptoms if it ever comes back again.  There can also be some more serious conditions such as Bechet's that show up as ulcers too. So, I would suggest telling your mom and your doctor and getting checked!

Good luck!

actually here is what the doctor posted and it seems to be exactly what my problem is:

HI!
The vulva is covered with sweat and oil glands.  Not to mention hair follicles, and other varieties of skin.  Most likely you have a plugged duct in one of these types of glands.
If so, one of two things will probably happen.  Either it will come to a head and rupture, OR it will go away on its own by gradually shrinking.
There is no need to worry unless it continues to get bigger, you get more of them, or the pain of inflammation worsens.  Rarely we have to lance something like that to get it to go away,  It doesn't sound like any type of STD.  It is of course always best to have someone take a look "down there".
I hope this helps!
