i was 10 days late now im bleeding and it hurts

ok i was ten days late for my period and then i started bleeding... i had been sore in the breast for 2 weeks before had. i was eating more and everything but all test said negative. now there a lot of discomfort and sharp pains every now and then... i dont know what to do...

It sounds like you had an anovulatory cycle.  This is a cycle in which, for some reason, you don't ovulate as usual.  If you don't ovulate, your period will be delayed or will not come at all.  When it does come, it will very often be heavy and prolonged.  Sometimes you may have clotting too.  When my patients have this problem, I use progesterone to  help clean out the uterus.  I personally like Prometrium, and will often use it for 10-14 days.  This will stop the period and clean the uterine lining.  Then I usually wait to see what the next cycle is going to be like.  If it is normal, I don't recommend any further treatment.  If it is not normal, sometimes I will use birth control pills to regulate the cycles for awhile.
