spotting in the 7th week of pregnancy

Im almost 7weeeks into the pregnancy. I also have a condition of hypo-thyroidism. This morning i noticed some spotting. It has stopped right now. Do i need to be worried?

Hi!
You should always notify your doctor about spotting.  I tend to have my patients come right in for an ultrasound.  Most of the time everything is just fine.  Especially if the spotting is minimal and stops quickly.

Pertaining to the hypothyroidism--be sure to take your medications to keep your thyroid levels within the normal range.  Thyroid hormone is important for the baby's brain development.  Also, the amount of medication that you require can change during pregnancy, so get checked at least once per trimester (3 times) during pregnancy.
