Dr Jose: Sum of all Fears - Part 3 (final)

Hi Dr
Following my last 2 threads, I took tests on day 124 after 1st exposure and day 76 after 2nd exp: CBC normal but WBC hi 9800 & RBC hi 6.16–Urine  RBC 2-4 & WBC 8-10 (possible kidney) –SGOT/AST & SGPT/ALT normal–Gamma GT normal–CR Protein normal – Syphilis nega–CMV negative – Chlamidya nega– EBVac anti VCG IgM 0.7 (borderline of 0.8)–Ac anti VCA (IgG) 2.7 above the 0.8–Ac anti HSV IgM normal–HSV 1+2 IgG is 4.6 above 0.8
HIV test: the Dr. in town insisted on PCR though I told him to add AB. He is the no. one Dr in my country but still upset why he didn’t do an Antibody though I was willing to pay any amt for piece of mind.  HIV 1 PCR RNA (124 days after 1st and 76 days after 2nd exposure)Absence of detection of HIV 1 RNA (20-10,000,000l 1,3 -7,0log)
I met with the head of HIV section who confirmed that the test I took earlier at 84 days after 1st exp & 34 days after 2nd exposure was a DUO test 4th gen not only AB
This guy said that my DUO test & followed later by PCR: conclusive but the Dr who ran the PCR said that I have to test at 6mths. Dr. I know it is a hard case, I had low exposures x 8 with autoimmune disease (UC) but multiple symptoms afterwards–I am relating HIV to my son as well–still anxious:
Q1: Should I be worried about HIV vs the the results such as WBC 9800 RBC 6.16-RBC and WBC in urine, HSV 4.6… I’m ready to face any disease whether kidney..,  but as long as it is not HIV. In other words, do the results of the tests ring a certain alarm of HIV.
Q2: I came up w/ pessimistic analysis: if I caught HIV it wld hv been from the 2nd exposure of Dec1 since I was already sick by then.  DUO negative at 34 days maybe becos by then my WBC was at 6.46 & AB/P24 were not generated and PCR nega at 76 days maybe because of hi WBC 9800 suppressing HIV load to undetectable level (below 20).
Q3: would you consider the given as conclusive or you suggest a 3d test?
Thanks a lot

Dear Doctors,
I have come to a cross-road where I would embrace your answer with arms wide open shaping my future to come. Dr. Sean: you mentioned that my results and tests lead to a very conclusive Neg HIV. A couple of words of confirmation will put my 3.5months agony at ease: would your statement remain the same even with the UC and related Pentasa 500mgx4pills per day??? sorry but I wasn't sure if the you already read the previous threads (Sum of all fears, and sum of all fears part 2 where I mentioned the UC part). Thanks a lot and sorry for bothering you on this crucial matter.

Dear Dr. Sean,
Of course you do remember in my previous threads that I have Ulcerative Colitis and on Pentasa 500mg x 4 pills per day for almost 18months. So hope your answer is still certain despite my autoimmune disease and Pentasa.

Thank you in advance Dr. Sean and promise I would never bother you any longer.

Hello

Thank you for the post and the following questions:-

Q1: Should I be worried about HIV vs the the results such as WBC 9800 RBC 6.16-RBC and WBC in urine, HSV 4.6… I’m ready to face any disease whether kidney..,  but as long as it is not HIV. In other words, do the results of the tests ring a certain alarm of HIV.

You are not HIV positive. The tests you have had establish that you are HIV negative.

You are not HIV positive - you are HIV negative - all this other stuff is irrelevant.

Q3: would you consider the given as conclusive or you suggest a 3d test?

You are most conclusively HIV negative following the events you have become concerned about. You do not need further testing.

very best wishes, Sean

Dear Dr Jose, I forgot to mention that I took a urine test 10 days before the aforementioned one  and ther was a slight detection of RBC and no WBC at all.
