Dr. Sean

Your answer was helpful, but i have un answered questions. You said the steriod that was used was irrelavnt to hiv testing. Is that onlt if i get a 3rd or 4th. gen test?  The test i used the thought was reliable. US FDA approved oraquick test. that take 20 min. at the CDC. It is supposidly going to give reliable results in 13wks. or 3 mo. Is steriod   use not relavant in testing period? The one i used  was one that detects antibodies only. Does my steriod use interfere with results that the US says are conclusive in three mo.? Is the steriod use only irrelevant for testing by 3rd gen. tests?  Does that type of steriod interfere with when your body builds up antibodies or is it irrelavant with a reliable antibody test FDA approved in the US, conclusive after 3 mo test? I don't want to test again and want to put this behind me. With the info given, What do you think? Us says they are 99.8% reliable at 3 mo., but does steriod use interefere with reliable results even with the test i took?  Will steriods, like the ones i used interfere with reliablity? Thank you in advance.

You have to be patient when looking for answers becasue the Dr's have a practice nd are not dedicated to this site 24/7.

I assume you read what I posted and as you see Dr.Sean has already said that the steriods has no issue with your tests. He would have said if it was specific to a certain test.

My question for you is why post in the International Forum where these Dr's are based in the UK and in the regular Expert Forum it is Dr.Hook and Dr.HHH who are American based. I mean no disrespect to the Dr's here but I would figure that you would ask the American Dr's who deal with the tests here in America on a daily basis.
