HIV and others throgh recieved Oral Sex

I recieved brief oral sex in a gay sauna (maybe 30 seconds)  - he was giving oral to some one before me but I am 100% sure the other man did not come in his mouth - however of course there might have been traces of pre cum from the other man in his mouth. Do I assume recieving oral in this circumtance  is the same as if there was no possibility of precum in his mouth? Also the man did seem to be avoidng the opening tip of my penis. Also condoms are used in this sauna and poeple seemed to be careful (careful,is relative in this case I know!!)

This was nearly a year ago, I have had no symptoms but I am slightly concerned about HIV though I understand I shouldn't worry too much about this? I am however still slightly concerned about Hep B transmission and seeing as I have had no symptoms does this mean I am more or less clear of the less dangerous diseases also?

Hello,
Thank you for your post.
After reading the description of your sexual encounter, I can assure you that there wass no risk for you of having contracted any blood borne virus like HIV or Hepatitis B, even if there was semen or precum inside of the other man's mouth.
Best wishes,
Dr José

Thanks Dr Jose, much appreciated.

Just so I'm sure -  even though I said the man appeared to avoid stimulating the opening tip of my penis obviously I can't be sure with insertive oral sex whether or not precum might have come in contact wth the tip of my penis with the ordinary friction  that oral sex involves  (it was insertive oral sex just so I'm clear) - its just not something I can be totally sure about - were you taking that into account? I'm assuming you were but need to be sure. Because -

I have read some of your posts here and notice you advise testing for chylmidia, syphillisis and others after such an encounter that might have led to fluids coming into contact with the opening tip of the penis. I have had no symptoms however and I''m ordinarily straight (my encounter with a man was a one off curiousity) and now in a relationship with a woman and we are going to switch from condoms to the pill for contraception. With no symptoms given the period of time (almost a year) should I test for other things before I do this given the possiblity of pre cum coming in contact with the tip of my penis and should I test for other STD's in case of carrying them without obvious symptoms?

Thanks Dr Jose, appreciated

Dr Jose,

I don't mean to take up forum space but I would greatly appreciate if you considered my additional comment on this matter. Also - Is there possibly a risk of HPV?

Thank You
