HIV related doubts and questions.

My last sexual exposure was on the 2nd of october where i had unprotected anal sex for about less than 1 minute and unprotected oral sex for about 3-5 minutes.I don't know her HIV status but she was 25 and not a commercial sex worker , but possibly has had quite a few partners.I also have had protected vaginal and oral sex with a few other chinese sex workers before that.

I have had the following tests -
1)HIV antibody test for HIV 1/2 and P24 antigen test using CMIA(chemiluminiscent microparticle immunoassay.) twice at 6 months and at 6 months 2 weeks from the same lab.
2)HIV antibody test using immunochromatography thrice at 7 months , 7 months 2 weeks and 8 months.
3)PCR proviral DNA at 8 months post exposure & then another HIV test for antibodies to hiv 1/2 for my Student Visa.
4)I also tested negative for VDRL and HCV.

I have the following questions -
1) Is my combination of HIV duo test and PCR pro viral DNA test  both of which were non reactive and negative respectively.Enough to rule out HIV as a concern ?
2)I have had 6 HIV antibody tests and 1 PCR proviral DNA test all 6 months post exposure and the latest at 9 months post exposure conclusive and reliable and has it ever happened that somebody tested Negative for both these tests at 8-9 MONTHS post exposure but tested positive Later ?
3)I had a WBC count it was 4,900 Is this within the normal range ?
4)I also had protected oral sex with 2 female  chinese sex workers i am male and i was the one being sucked. Is this any risk for HIV.It happened 1 month ago and should i get tested ? Has HIV ever happened this way ?
5)I tested positive for EBV does this interfere with HIV and how common is EBV ?

Hello,
Thank you very much for your post and welcome to our HIV forum.  Let me answer each of your questions here below:

1) Is my combination of HIV duo test and PCR pro viral DNA test  both of which were non reactive and negative respectively.Enough to rule out HIV as a concern ?

YES, ALL YOUR TESTS CAN BE CONSIDERED FULLY CONCLUSIVE.  YOU DEFINITLEY DO NOT HAVE HIV.  NO NEED TO HAVE ANY FURTHER TESTS.  YOU ARE HIV NEGATIVE; NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT!

NO, IT HAS NOT HAPPENED.  YOU ARE NEGATIVE.

3)I had a WBC count it was 4,900 Is this within the normal range ?

IT IS NORMAL; NORMAL RANGE IN ADULTS IS 4,500 - 11,000.

4)I also had protected oral sex with 2 female  chinese sex workers i am male and i was the one being sucked. Is this any risk for HIV.It happened 1 month ago and should i get tested ? Has HIV ever happened this way ?

NO RISK OF HIV WHEN RECEIVING ORAL SEX, NO NEED TO BE TESTED

5)I tested positive for EBV does this interfere with HIV and how common is EBV ?

NO, IT DOES NOT INTERFERE WITH HIV. EBV IS VERY COMMON, INFECTING MORE THAN 90% OF HUMANS.

Best wishes,

Dr José
