HIV test after six weeks

Hello, I had a risk conduct with a girl in a night club, condom fell of and I penetrated her without it  for a minute probably until I realized, she says she is fine, every month she gets checked for HIV and other STD's but anyway its hard to trust just her word so after 6 weeks I had a test, according to the lab is a HIV 1-2 AC/AG 3rd/4th generation, also just to be sure I took a test in another lab, in this case the test was only HIV 1-2 AC 4th generation (the later being more expensive), I read that they are not the same even if both say 4th generation, if they test for AG it should be on the test description, but anyway I want to know if the 6 week test is conclusive or at least how much confidence should I have on the results? also the only sympton that I have is sore throat, didn´t have fever, a little cough, feel fine, not tired but the throat keeps bothering me, this has been going since the 4th week until now (almost 3 weeks) that is what has been worrying me so much, its winter here and a lot of people get sick for that but still I am very concerned, maybe is just the stress of this whole situation, should I try another test (PCR or the p24)?

Good Morning

I think you are fine.

The chances of you becoming infected from a single episode are unlikely - at around 1 in 1000 to 1 in 1200 per episode. So very unlikely anyway.

You have had two tests one of which seems certainly to be a 4th generation HIV test - and both the tests are negative.

I would relax now and forget it. I am certain that you are HIV negative.

Kind regards, Sean

Dear Doctor, just some more information on my case, I would be extremely thankful for your help, at 8 weeks I had a 4th gen HIV antibodies test negative and a p24 antigen test also negative, is this conclusive? all suggest that it is but I am still with  sore throat that doesn't go away. Regards.

Good morning doctor, and what about the sore throat? Do you think its not related? One test was 4th generation is guess just for antibodies and the other one I think was 3rd gen for antigens and 4th gen for antibodies if such test exist, I am just guessing. Should I tale another type of test to be 100% sure now and not having to wait 12 weeks? Best regards from Perú.
