High Risk RT-PCR DNA

High Risk RT-PCR DNA

morning here is what happen to my cousin, he's story is pretty much like mine except he had unprotected sex with a CW in China while she is haveing her period, he saw some blood on his penis when he pull out and some fluid get in touch with an injury on his finger that he had some hours ago (not bleeding at that time).he took the RT-pcr for HIV after 28 days with antibody by labcrop (at 32 days)( since labcrop do not have the P24 test he took the PCR) both NEG.
1. how accurate is PCR + antibody at 32 days? like what percentage ? is it really conclusive after 28 days? many std testing lab here said it is but on the freedom health web site it is not and you guys suggested the PCR at 7 - 10 days of exposure and retest later.

2.   DR. HHH said without any anti-hiv med it is almost impossible to have a true infected person to have both test neg after 28 days?

3. what is the different between the P24 and DNA PCR? a Dr. on this forum said it is almost the same and maybe the PCR DNA is more superior than P24? are they both antigen test?

4. (i know this is a stupid question) he went for a chest xray 2 weeks after the PCR test and xray came back NEG but on top of the result it said abnormal blood work and when we call the dr the dr said do not worry about it, the dr said he just wrote something there for a referral (the dr never take any of his blood sample) so does a chest xray tells if there is HIV infection or abnormal blood work? we asked that Dr and that Dr just laugh?

5. have you seen anyone who tested neg after 28 days by the RT- PCR DNA with antibody and later turn pos without re-exposeing them self ?

6. people said the PCR is only good for when there are symptoms if there are no symptoms it is not accurate.?  can DNA RT-PCR detect HIV on a person with no symptoms ?

7. he tested NEG both PCR and antibody at 32 days and right now its been 2 months already with no symptoms should he move on with his life or he need to get re-test for hiv ?

You asked:-

1. how accurate is PCR + antibody at 32 days? like what percentage ? is it really conclusive after 28 days? many std testing lab here said it is but on the freedom health web site it is not and you guys suggested the PCR at 7 - 10 days of exposure and retest later.

You are completely mixed up. A PCR is not an antibody test. A PCR will look to identify viral particles or parts of viral particles ie DNA or RNA. An antibody test will look for your body's response to the viral infection. If you had (or your "cousin" had a negative PCR and a negative antibody test at 32 days then you r cousin is HIV negative.  You are also completely mixed up about what it says on the Freedomhealth website - it is quite clear and so I am not going to repeat it here - you can look at it again on www.freedomhealth.co.uk

2.   DR. HHH said without any anti-hiv med it is almost impossible to have a true infected person to have both test neg after 28 days?

I agree entirely.

3. what is the different between the P24 and DNA PCR? a Dr. on this forum said it is almost the same and maybe the PCR DNA is more superior than P24? are they both antigen test?

Again, you seem to be mixed up about this. A p24 test will look for a protein the HIV virus produces during replication. A PCR  is as described in my answer to 1) above. They are completely different.

Can't answer that - I diidn't ask for the chest xray and I haven't seen the blood work so no idea. However, your "cousin's" HIV tests were negative and so he is negative.

5. have you seen anyone who tested neg after 28 days by the RT- PCR DNA with antibody and later turn pos without re-exposeing them self ?

No

6. people said the PCR is only good for when there are symptoms if there are no symptoms it is not accurate.?  can DNA RT-PCR detect HIV on a person with no symptoms ?

Yes

7. he tested NEG both PCR and antibody at 32 days and right now its been 2 months already with no symptoms should he move on with his life or he need to get re-test for hiv ?

He does not need to re-test. He is proved to be HIV negative.

best wishes, Sean

dr i have a personal question about you but you can chooe not to answer. i was just wondering why did you choose to partices on HIV? I mean its a scary virus that has no cure on. do you get scare of working with HIV everyday? i mean not to be suck up but i think dr who work with HIV are very respectful, i mean you have to have ALOT OF GUTS to do it and caution on every SECOND.
