Possible risk oral sex and hand job

Dear Dr.

Wish you a happy new year. I am traumatized soul from India (as you can see I am posting this question to you on a new years eve!)

1) Allow me to explain to you my shameful encounter which took place on 26 Dec. I was drunk and out of my wits and decided to seek a CSW, I received a protected blowjob from her, but I was too drunk to have an erection. I tried to have  a protected sex with her but was unable to have erection hence withdrew from the affair, she ended up giving me a handjob for quite a while, before I quit the crime scene without ejaculating. Does that put me at any risk of getting HIV infected?

2) Immediately after this encounter, I dont know what devil had possessed me, I decided to go after another CSW who happened to be a shemale. Again as I said I was drunk and could not have an erection. She sucked my penis (with condom) , and I too was indulged in an unprotected oral sex (fellatio) for quite a while (I was the receiver). Even she could not get an erection and did not ejaculate in my mouth. But I happened to suck her unprotected penis for quite some time. I also may have licked her anus in this process. We did not engage in any anal intercourse in any way. Kindly comment on the risk involved.

As I woke up the next morning I am scared to death and totally regretting my actions. I have a very loving wife and I cannot tell you how sorry I feel for her, and my mind is filled with sheer disgust for myself.

Should I refrain from having unprotected sex with my wife until my HIV status is clear? I am in sever trauma dear doc please help,

Regards

Dear Raj,

Thanks for the post.

The first of your scenario's poses no risk at all.

As far as the second goes, sucking can expose the sucker to a small risk of HIV transfer although as you imply this is mainly in those where ejaculation occurs into the suckers mouth. The overall risk of contracting HIV from sucking another is very small indeed.

You may though be at risk of other much more common and much more infectious illnesses such as chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis and it is worth considering testing for these before you resume sexual activity with your wife.

kind regards, Sean
