Seborrheic Dermatitis, negative HIV result

A little history first.
In March 2010, I had insertive anal intercourse with another male (I was the insertive partner).  The encounter was brief (lasting minutes) and there was no fluid exchange that I could see/no cuts or open wounds/sores on any part of my body. It was a brief in and out lasting no more than five minutes.  I found out afterward he was HIV+.  I went on an nPEP for one month, then 5 months after the incident I was tested for HIV with the quick (ORAquick - blood not gum-line sample) test - it was negative.  Just recently I was tested again at 8 months after the incident (also with ORAquick - blood) and it was also negative.

My question is this.
Is it possible after both of these confirmed negative results to still have HIV?  I am asking this because I have developed itches in the last few months (about three or so) that seem to be symptomatic of seborrheic dermatitis.
Things such as: an itchy scalp, itching eyebrows, itching eyes, itching chest, and itching hands.  These itches come and go and only once did I have a rash on the right side of my right hand that went away after a few minutes when I moisturized them.  Also, they tend to itch in the same places (same locations on my scalp for example).

I have never had seborrheic dermatitis in my life (as far as I can remember) and am not sure where it could be coming from aside from a possible HIV infection.  However, I will admit that I am stressing over this issue (still) and have had some recent anxiety in my life (which I understand can contribute to seborrheic dermatitis).

If you feel it is not HIV related, how can I best go about figuring out where it is coming from and confirm it is not HIV related?

Thank you for your help in this matter!

Estimado Dr. Jose-

I am a 53 year old male in good health until recently. Nine weeks ago, I cut my neck using a used razor in the shower at a straight massage parlor (only Asian women working there). Eight days after that, my sinuses were inflamed and I had myalgea in my arms and just slightly in my legs. My sinuses cleared up in a couple of weeks, and the aching in my muscles is better-but STILL there with a mild burning sensation. I have occasional light night sweats too. I tested for HIV at 6.5 weeks (rapidtest blood) and was neg. I also tested for all Hepatitus and Mono-also neg. What could this be please and what else might I get tested for?
Thank You

Hello,
Thank you very much for your post and welcome to our form.  My apologies for the delay in replying to your questions.
I can confirm to you that both negative HIV tests were fully conclusive at those periods of time.  You can rest assured that you are HIV negative and that you did not get infected in that sexual encounter.  Anyone can develop seborrhoeic dermatitis at any time in their lives and anxiety can certainly be a contributory factor.  In your case, it is not related to HIV.
You might want to consult a dermatologist in order to ensure the correct diagnosis and treatment.
Best wishes,
Dr José
