I am in Vietnam
Cheated on my partner with the following

1-had condom protected vaginal sex , should I be worried

2-I fingered the girl ( karaoke girl , most probably sex worker ) 5 to 10 min , next day I relaized I had cuticles on both fingers.

She said she was not sick and tested every 3 months but I don not belive it.

I am so worried to get infected trough the cuticles , can you help me with this.

I cannot TELL you to have and HIV test or NOT - all I can do is give advice based on the information supplied and I have done that.

It is for YOU to decide on the next steps.

I thought the little skin pelling with little dark dots ( maybe blood ) could have created an infection.



Is a cuticle a wound or not ? can virus spead trough cuticles ? sometimes cuticles bleed ? couldit be a source of infection.

So what is your advise ? should I test or should I stop worrying ?

No, you should not be worried - provided condoms stay on and do not break they will protect you against HIV. You have not been exposed on the basis of what you have said.

This is completely irrelevant. Even if the girl had HIV I do not believe you are at risk from this. There  are no reported cases of HIV being transmitted this way.

Well, perhaps you should have thought of that before. I can't comment on whether she's telling the truth or not but thats the situation we're in now. If you remain conccerned then you can have an HIV RNA PCR test any time from 7 days onwards or an HIV DUO test which is a combined HIV 1 and 2 antibody test together with p24 antigen from 28 days. Both will give you certainty.  However, I do not believe you are at risk.
