Swallen Lymph Nodes and sore throat

3 weeks ago I had sex with an Asian sex worker and we used a condom for oral and vaginal intercourse - I do not know if it split but I don't believe it did as I did not notice any split when I took it off

During the encounter she gave me heavy love bites on my nipples which hurt during the act and she kissed me several times on my lips with one time her tongue inside my mouth and she sucked my inner lips to my mouth

I always have mouth ulcers and bleeding gums and I did at the time of this encounter

2 and a half weeks after the encounter I came down with a sore throat and swallen lymph nodes. From research I have read everything from swallen Lymph nodes meaning I have HIV but other sites say sore throats can be brought on my excess stress. Naturally during the last 3 weeks my life has been a living hell with intense stress, not able to sleep, not eating etc

It is these signs and symptons of swallen lymph nodes suddenly and at the right time to show hiv early signs - that are mentally killing me at the moment

Please do ot just say I am ok as used a condom as I really am desperate to know a real explanation for the swollen nodes and the sore throat - neither of which is common for me to have

Hi Tank,

Even though you don't want me to say I am going to point out that you will not have HIV from this episode because you used a condom - simple fact I'm glad to say.

There are lots of conditions which will cause the symptoms you have - very many of them very minor and clinically irrelevant.

A classic triad for diagnosing acute onset new HIV seroconversion illness is 1) a very severe sore throat 2) a very high temperature 3) a whole body rash - FOLLOWING a significant exposure.

You haven't had this triad - I know you've had a sore throat but not the three together - and you have not had a significant exposure.

I do not believe you are HIV positive. You can test from 28 days using an HIV DUO or HIV COMBO test. I think you'll be fine.

I now also have a red rash and burning sensation under my skin on my chest

Are acute signs of hiv infection usually accompanied with fever, rash etc or can simply swallen lympth nodes and a sore throat be indicative of acute hiv?

I do not have a fever or a rash or feel like i have flu, just this damn sore throat and swallen lymph nodes

The research says that swallen lymph nodes are only when one if fighting an infection such as hiv - this absolutely terrifies me ////
