A rape from a while ago

My mom was raped (no condom used) in 1984 or 1985. Obviously this is a painful topic and I do not know all the details. I was told that she was tested for hiv but I have no clue at what point after the rape. I know that tests back then needed at least 6 months to be accurate and for all I know she was tested right away...which would have meant the results were not accurate.
Obviously this was 24 or 25 years ago. However, I have read that hiv may take years to turn into aids. I am mainly concerned about my mom but also myself, as I have shared razors with her. (I only found out about the rape recently).
Is there any possible chance that after 25 or 26 years she could have HIV? I am very concerned because I know she would never consent to get tested again.

Thank you.

I'm sorry to hear of your mother's assault.  TThese are traumatic experiences.  I'm glad I can assure you that if she had acquired HIV from a rape over 20 years ago, she would have developed AIDS by know and you would know it.  She did not get HIV in this way and therefore you are not at risk.  Stop worrying, there is just no way.  EWH

In my last question I obviously meant 24 or 25 years, not 26.
