Am i at risk?

Hello Dr. First of all i want to thank you for your wonderful work that you've been doing on this forum. I hope you can excuse me for my english because is not that good.Im from Spain
Im 24 years old, male, heterosexual and uncircumcised. about a few months ago i had 4 episodes of unprotected vaginal sex with an american student who was studying in Spain for a semester. She is 20 and claimed to only had 3 other sexual partners in her life. When i asked her about Hiv and other STD's she told me she is clean and she also say she gives blood usually everytime there is a blood drive at her school back in the States.
3 weeks after the last episode of unprotected sex i had DUO test (ELISA and P24) that came out negative
My questions are:
1. How reliable is a Negative DUO test at 3 weeks?
2. What was my risk on this situation?
3. Would you recomend me further testing?
Thanks for all your help in advance DR.

Those are not symptoms of early HIV infection. You caught a cold.

Buenos dias.  Por seguro su ingles is mejor que mi espanol!

El riesgo de HIV en este situacion es minimal--practicalmente, zero.  You might have a misunderstanding about the frequency of HIV in the US.  The chance that a 20 year old North American woman has HIV is extremely low, probalby less than 1 chance in many thousand.  Her reassurance that she isn't infected, and her sexual lifestyle, suggest there is no realistic chance she had HIV.  The specific answers to your questions are:

1) A negative test at 3 weeks is highly reliable.
2) Zero for practical purposes.  See above.
3) You did not need to be tested at all, and you do not need further testing.  But if you remain nervous, you could be tested again 6-8 weeks after your last sexual exposure.

Buena suerte--   HHH, MD
