HIV Anxiety

Hi DR. I am Male 38 Yrs. This is my first encounter with a outside women.  I had a brief (less than 2 Min) vaginal sex with a women with un-known status, I used condom and the condom remain intact when I ejacuted, (the condom is intact) I dont know wheather the condom broke or not (this is my first time use of condom) I am very much tensed with this incident and I can't sleep, and this is happend 6 days back and I don't have any symptoms.  Please acess my risk, do I need any testing.  Thanks in advance.

First, in response to the discussion before this reply (below), if a condom breaks of course it is obvious when you withdraw and see the penis was uncovered--and usually the rupture is felt at the moment it occurs.

You were not at risk and do not need testing for HIV or any other STD.  Remember that even without a condom, the risk of female to male HIV transmission for any single episode of vaginal sex averages 1 chance in 2,000 if the woman is infected. Since the odds are low your partner was infected (HIV remains rare in most sexually active women in the US and industrialized countries) and condoms are nearly 100% protective, the chance you caught HIV is zero for practical purposes.
