HIV after Broken Condom?

hello

I posted in another forum, but here might be more appropriate

I am male 34y old.

I picked up a female CSW in Singapore, it was one of the expensive escort girl type places not a street worker.

She was from Venezuela South america, she was pretty and had silicon implants. She said she is in Singapore since one week.

I took her to my hotel room and I had vaginal intercourse with her.

The sex was long and intense with some brief pauses. All with one condom

After the last pause, I entered again and after a while (dont fully remember) she noticed that the condom was broken. I removed it and my full tip was exposed, I didnt not wash my penis. We finished Oral with condom (no vaginal intercourse after) .

She seemed not overly worried when it happened, however she put on a new condom for Oral sex. Not sure if I have asked her for it. Also as stupid as i am I did not ask her any questions, she ordered a taxi and left.
After she left I showered and washed my Penis with some light alcohol

2 days after I took a long haul flight to Europe and afterwards I felt bad, from day 4 approximately, a slightly sore throat, a light fever (37-38 degrees) and overall feeling weak, that kept on for at least a week. After 3 weeks I had a rash, it looked fungal, small flat not fluid inside, not really itching, only about 10 - 20 spots where i sweat and have hair on my chest and they disappeared after after 4 days.

I am extremely worried, I cant focus and lost 2kg of weight.

My main worry is if she was HIV positive and came to Singapore to earn money because at home she couldn't and since its a week she might have been just recently infected with high viral level... I am totally paranoid....

Now on the 24th day I took a test, will get results soon, not sure if it was Duo test (Germany)

Can you advise me your opinion how accurate the test will be after 24d and what you think of the symptoms?
Thanks

Welcome to our Forum.  The Duo test you have just taken will provide you with the most accurate answer to your questions but in the meantime I can tell you the reasons that it is unlikely that you acquired HIV from the exposure you describe.

You may be interested to know that most commercial sex workers use condoms primarily to protect themselves from their partners, not to protect the partners.  In addition, as it turns out, most commerical sex workers do not have HIV and that is particularly true for the more expensive ones (bad for business).

Even if your partner had HIV, your risk for infection is only 1/10th of 1% (a one in 1000) , at most.  Thus the odds are very much in your favor.

As far as your symptoms are concerned, they are non-specific and an isolated rash is not suggestive of HIV.  If your rash was due to HIV (again, I emphasize this is unlikely), your HIV test will be positve.  In the meantime, please do not worry.  EWH

Thank you Doctor!

The test came back negative. I will test again after 1 more month and than do a final test at the 3 Month mark, but so far I am already much more calm.

I will publish my results here and certainly I have learnt a lesson for life.

thanks
