Help Me I´m Scared!!

Doctor:

Yesterday I gave oral sex to a friend, this was no more than ten seconds (4 or 5 sucks),  I did not see pre-cum and he didn't eyaculate.
Before and after this there were kisses.

Today I contacted him and ask for an HIV test, SYPHILIS AND HERPES he access saying that all his sexual encounters were protected, his last was 1 month ago as he told me, I Insist and the following tests were performed to both of us.

ANTIBODIES Anti-HIV 1 and 2 / HIV p24 antigen
METHOD: Chemiluminescence.

VDRL
METHOD: Flocculation.

HERPES SIMPLEX ANTIBODY Anti-1 and 2 IgG and IgM
Anti-HSV 1/2
METHOD: Chemiluminescence.

He told me his last sexual encounter was with a friend of him, with protection and that he has a negative 4 months ago.

My questions:

I had risk?
If he is negative at this point, i can't catch HIV?
What Can I do?

Im scared, please help me.

Hello Dr,

He came negative for the 3 exams, except for IGG HERPES I who appears in 56.4 range (0-1.2)

Do i have to concern about this?

I don't care what the Spanish Red Cross says, particularly if your partner's test was negative, you have no reason for concern.  You have to decide what you wish to do. you have my opinion. EWH

Welcome to our Forum. the risk of get HIV from performing oral sex on another person is very small for a number of reasons. First and most importantly most people do not have STIs, including HIV. Second, even if your partner was infected, most sexual exposures to infected partners do not lead to infection.  The estimated risk for getting HIV, if your partner had infection is less than 1 infection in 10,000 sexual encounters (i.e. like performing oral sex on an infected partner once a day for over 27 years)- that is it is very, very rare.  Further, in answer to your question, if your partner has a negative HIV test at this time, then there really is no realistic chance for you to get infected by briefly performing oral sex on him.

My advice about this brief, very low risk encounter is not to worry.  I anticipate that your friend's test will be negative and when it is, you will know that you are not at risk for HIV from the encounter you describe. EWH
