STD/HIV

Dear Doctor,
I have read many replies regarding this query but I am still concerned, I suffer from anxiety which worsens the situation. I visited had 2 erotic massages in Bucharest which involved a nude lady massaging me and proving a "happy ending" at the end. She touched her vagina with my penis for a few seconds and sit on my stomach as well as rubbing her body against mine. I usually don't do things like this and this was more like a bucket list kinda thing that I wanted to try. Since then I have been feeling anxious and concerned I may have catch an std or even worse hiv. I know chances are pretty remote but still keeps keeping me awake and concerned constantly. I am going to have DNA PCR test 10 days from the encounter and an HIV duo test after 28 days.

Welcome to our Forum. I'll be happy to comment, affirming what I believe you already know. the activities you engaged in did not put you at risk for HIV or, for that matter, for realistic risk of any STI.  Most masseuses and commercial sex workers do not have HIV or other STIs and even with penetrative sexual contact, few lead to transmission of infection.  Masturbation is considered safe sex and has no risk for HIV at all.

Try not to let any guilt you have over this encounter get to you. It was a no risk event.  While testing is a personal choice, there is no medical reason for you to test.

I hope my comments are helpful to you. EWH

Got a dual hiv test negative and should get further results in a couple of days. Many thanks again for keeping me calm and rational.

Hello,
Just for a quick update. I had an instant hiv test today and it was negative. I also had a PCR DNA test but the results will be ready next week.
Again I am very grateful for your support and reading your responses not only on my query but other replies gives me a lot of relief.

Thank you for your support. I understand is a zero risk event but I am being irrational. Your comments make me overcome my fears (at least temporarily) but I appreciate your time and advice.

I anticipate that your test results will be negative.  Your symptoms are most likely due to something other than HIV.  No changein my assessment or advice.  Please do not worry.  EWH

Dear doctor,
Would stomachs and diarrhoea be a concern 10 days after the massage? I know I shouldn't be concerned but my mind is playing with me, what if I penetrate her editor me noticing? What if I am the first one to contract it in this way? I know it is irrational and I am seeking counselling for help of my anxiety but this issue is taking me to the edge (not sleeping, smoking for the first time in my life, drinking). I will have the DNA PCR test tomorrow but that will take 5 days for me to get the results.

Good afternoon doctor,
Many thanks for your reply. I suffer from anxiety and acid reflux so the concerns just exacerbate any symptoms I experience (diarrhoea, stomached, feeling of mucus on throat). I think my concern is more to do with guilt rather than anything else. Somehow the more I read about this on the forum the more concern I get. Knowing that there is very very very low probability of infection it just stick in my head and I am thinking in the worst case scenario. Thank you for the reassurance and enjoy the rest of your day.
