Scared for my Symptoms

I am 30 yr old male. On Dec 3, I went to a strip club and had a lap dance for 5 min. Then a private session fo 30 min.

In both, there was no exchange of body fluids, saliva, blood etc. No sexual intercourse. I might have kissed the girl on her body, but did not kiss on her lips. Can I get HIV through cracked lips because of winter?

On Dec 15, I was feeling nauseatic (the night before I had eaten something that I really did not feel good about). On Dec 17, I had one occurrence of liquid stool - only once in the day. I also had one mouth ulcer around that time.

Starting Dec 22nd or so, I had sore throat. I still have sore throat, and it is especially bad when I wake up in the morning. My lymph nodes (some in neck and above collar bone on my left shoulder, also in groin) were swollen on around Dec 27/28. The swelling is not apparent on neck. Only the one in collar bone when touched casually seems swollen out of proportion. I also kind of had upset stomach (no diarrhea) during these days, now it is fine. My doctor prescribed 5 days course of Zithromax, which I started on Dec 28, during which I had loose stools twice a day - none watery, only lose stool. I never had fever (measuring twice a day starting around 23 Dec) or headache. I have general feeling of tiredness. But I am feeling very anxious and scared a lot. I lost 3 lbs during these two weeks. Only thing I can think of is about the dangers and the symptoms.

I did PCR DNA test on Dec 28 (25 and half days past contact) and it came back negative. I also went again for the PCR by DNA test yesterday (33 days past contact), and awaiting the results due late Tues / Wed.

Also, lot of people around me (in my family and friends) have sore throat. My wife developped it day before yesterday, and still has it. We have not had sex or anything after the contact. My son has been coughing for six days or so. But none of them have swollen lymph nodes.

My symptoms, and specially the timing of them are bothering me a lot (exactly two weeks after the contact). But I know I did not have exchange of any body fluids, saliva, blood etc.

Is DNA PCR test after 25 and half days good enough? Can it detect very low levels of HIV virus in one's body? Should I also do an ELSIA test after 13 weeks? Are the tests available at home good after 13 weeks?

Can I have Mononucleosis at age 30? Will normal blood tests during first week of mono identify the disease?

Please note the disclaimer at the top of this forum:  "Questions that duplicate other frequent ones, for which abundant replies exist, and that have little educational value for other forum users, will be DELETED WITHOUT RESPONSE.  YOUR DONATION WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.  The most common examples of such questions are those about low risk exposures to HIV, such as oral sex, condom- protected intercourse hand-to-genital exposure, and nonsexual contact with possibly infected blood or body fluids as well as symptoms of early HIV infection."

Sometimes I let questions like this one stand in order to stress the point.  I stopped reading your question after "...there was no exchange of body fluids, saliva, blood etc. No sexual intercourse. I might have kissed the girl on her body, but did not kiss on her lips."  Since you could not have acquired HIV or any other STD during this event, the rest of your question is irrelevant.  Your symptoms, whatever they are, cannot be due to HIV or STD unless you have had other risky exposures you don't describe.  You did not need HIV testing and certainly do not need additional testing.  Follow up with your health care provider if your symptoms persist and concern you.

No follow-up questions or discussion, please.

You didn't need to test to begin with. You didn't have a risk. Yes, at age 30 you can contract mono. Again you did not need to test.
