Weird things happen to me nowadays...

Dear Doctors
This is my second post to you. Please don't get pissed off with me..
Nowadays weird things happen to me, I hope eveything will be fine.
To remind you, me and my wife are trying for a baby with IVF since we both have thalassamia trait. A lot of medical procedures made me obsessive and sensitive to things that normally I wouldn’t care.
In my 1st post I asked you if i had HIV from dried blood and you said no way. I had my HIV test and negative.
Now another worry. Last week, a guy walking on the street who polishes the shoes came by me and asked a cigarette, i gave.
He chatted with me a little and gave me his hand. I shaked.
As i told before, I have psoriasis in my hands, not in the palms. In cold days the top of my fingers crack and sometimes bleed.
That day on the top of my little finger there was a crack and it was not bleeding, at least i didnt see blood. May be some clear fluid...i dont really know.
I didnt see any blood on his hands but I worry if he had.
I directly find a bathroom in say 3 mins after the handshake and i washed my hands with soap and water.
Is there a posibility for me to be infected if my crack was belleding or a bleeding has just stopped that i was unaware or say clear fluid naturally found in cracks (I am not sure that exist also) got in touch with some blood from the guy’s hand?  I know its just a handshake and noone got infected with that but my crack makes me worry a lot.
I am sorry to take your time. I am waiting for your response.
Be safe and all my best.
Sinan.

Dr Hook.
Thank you very much.
You got my point.
If it was just me and only me nothing would matter but when it comes to my family, things change.
I will get over this and I started to get help from a psychiatrist.
I wish all the best to you.

Hello:

I remember our previous exchange well and am glad things are going well for you.  I also understand your great concern not only for your health but for the health of your wife and (hopefully) your unborn child.  At the same time, I have to say that I believe you worry a bit too much.  As you point out, NOONE has ever gotten HIV from shaking hands and the fact that you might have a small crack on your hands from your psoriasis does not change that. To start with, transmission through cuts or scrapes on the hands has never been reported even though almost everyone gets small cuts, scrapes, hangnails etc on their hands almost every day.  Secondly, the risk that the man you shook hands with had HIV is also very, very low.  Please do not worry, this was not an exposure and you are at NO RISK.  EWH
