Welcome to the forum. Your post, lacking punctuation and running from idea to idea is a bit hard to follow but my sense is that you are over reacting, both in terms of your risk for HIV and absolutely in terms of the issue of putting your kids at risk.
In terms of your exposures, HIV is not spread by masturbation -period. this is true irrespective of the fact that your partner's genital secretions may have gotten on your penis and irrespective of the fact that there was some abrasion in the course of your sex. Similarly, there is no known risk of HIV from receiving oral sex. Thus even if one of your partners had HIV, which is statistically very unlikely, there was no risk for infection from the activities you have described.
In terms of your kids, while it sounds like you need to see your dentist, there is no risk should some of your oral secretions get on them in any way. None.
I hope this comment is helpful. You have nothing to worry about and you do not need testing. EWH
Your worries are not justifed by what we know about HIV transmission. Brief, final answers:
1. You cannot get HIV by getting toilet waater on your hands, even with cracked skin
2. No risk.
3. Please, HIV is not spread through aerosols.
4. I said no risk, no need to repeat it.
5. No risk from blood on inanimate objects.
6.Unprotected sex with an HIV infected person has a risk of, on average, one infection per 1000 acts of intercourse.
This ends this thread.EWH.
Thank You for answering my questions, Dr. Hook. I apologize for the scattered nature of my questions. Before i sign off i would like your opinions on somethings. Other than reading your replies i promise no more followups.
1) dropped a detection tool in an unflushed urinal(at work) had to grab it out with paper towels and wash it off with cracked skin on hands. Any risk?
2)in the gym restroom after wiping the toilet seat and myself(separately) noticed what appeared to be wet fecal matter on the clean wipe container lid. no sure if i touched it or not(i was at work checking the facility) any risk if my fingers touched it, when i wiped my backside?
3) at work, a co-worker before leaving our office coughed and sneezed. While on the computer i noticed what appeared to be a red piece of snot on my finger(gross) i had rubbed my nose several times. not sure where or how long it was on it was on my finger, it was moist. clearly i touched something moving around the office around the time he was coughing and sneezing am i risk since i rubbed and lightly picked at it(nose)?
4) so in regard to my kids, even if my gums were in severe bleeding mode short of being directly over /in front of them, a few specs of saliva(bloody tinged) in their eye or immediately transferred via their fingers would pose NO RISK, in lieu of obvious overt amounts?
5)in my workplace boxes and parcels are often passed directly from person to person, i cut myself often not deep but more like being scratched drawing blood on forearms and fingers is this risky at all?
6) (final one, I promise!!) if my ex had lied, how risky would unprotected sex twice(actually onetime ejaculating then continuing till climax again) be for me and does that change your opinion regarding testing. Thank you. Dr.Hook. You and Dr.Handsfield do awesome work.well worth the money,
