Thanks alot Doctor, I appreciate your support and your great work. Have a great day Sir.
1. This make no difference. No, you do not have HIV.
2. Yes, these results are conclusive with respectr to your earlier false positve.
You have asked me to confirm what I said before. I did that. I will not repeat myself agian. Your false positve blood test did not inidcate that you have HIV.

Dear Sir
Thanks for your answers,
1-about the W.B. and PCR the two tests been done together and exactly 29 days after the initial false positive test which I got and this was the only W.B. test been performed so does this will make any difference on your advise like doing another w.b. test?
2-without telling my history if I had any exposure before the date the false positive do you think yesterday negative tests result ( Rapid and HIV Combo test) which is four months after the false positive is conclusive?
Thanks once again for your advise
Welcome back to our Forum. I have read your earlier interchange with Dr. Handsfield and can see that even though he reassured you that your initial test was falsely positive, it has continued to trouble you. I hope that we can provide you with additional information to help resolve your concerns with this interaction.
Having a false positive test result can be very concerning and when you see different things said at different sites, that can only make a person worry even more. Please realize that the advice provided on the CDC site you visited did not encourage PCR testing, just as we do not. The reason for this is that there is still not enough good information to know how to best use PCR test results and because PCR test results give more false positive test results than tests for antibodies (False negative tests on the other hand are very, very rare). In your case however, following your initial false positive rapid test you have had additional negative antibody tests and a negative PCR test. These conclusively prove that you did not have HIV at the time of your initial blood test, despite its false positive result. You need to believe this.
Let me address your specific questions:
1. Yes the combination of tests you have had conclusively prove that you do not have HIV. You do not need to test further and do not need a Western blot.
2. No you do not need a WB. The reason that the web site you visit suggests repeat WB is because if the initial test result had been caused by detection of antibodies early in the process of antibody development, before the entire process had finished, a repeat test would later show additional antibody formation. At the time of repeat testing however, it would also be expected that a repeat antibody or ELISA test would be positive. In your case, the repeat negative testing after the false positive and the negative PCR test more than take the place of the repeat WB. It is not needed.
3. At this time there is no evidence that you are infected and strong evidence that you do not. You need to move on from this.
4. Which hand the blood is taken from makes no difference. You are not in the window period.
5. These results are conclusive. You do not have HIV. Take care. EWH
