so many symptoms at 6 months
hi doctor im sorry for english
mid july 2011 i put my self at risk..broken condom vaginal sex..u changed the condom less than 15 sec
1) how ever i have oral patchs inside my mouth after 3 months and still have
2)swolen glands neck left side still have from 4 month
3)had very very bad swolen tonsils alst month 2wice and only lasted 3 days each time
those ones major symptoms i have had....never had fewer or rush...
how ever i tested at gum clinic in england
at 3 weeks at 3 months and at 4 months and it was 4th gen ab/ag test and all came negavive
i also tested other stds and at same time all came clear too..
(never tested for any type of herpes)
1) how likely to change my hiv results at 6 months or later ?
2)its 6 months now from the risk what test can i have now ?
3) the test i done 4th gen test how good is that at times i had ??
whats your MaiN advice from now and on
because im still thinking of it 24/7

Welcome to our Forum. It is time for you to believe your test results. The symptoms you list, swollen glands, swollen tonsils, patches in your mouth are non-specific. Fortunately, the tests for HIV are amongst the most reliable tests in modern medicine..

Both your 3 and 4 month results are definitive and will not change. Further testing is a waste of time.

You do not need any more testing- you need to believe the results you have.

The 4th generation tests are superb and test for HIV in two ways, looking for the HIV p24 antigen an looking for antibody to the virus. For a 4th generation test to be negative both of these tests must be negative.
Bottom line- you did not get HIV from your broken condom episode. It is now time to put the past behind you and move forward. EWH

still waiting results,,,, gum clinic told me it can take up to 2 weeks....9 days today
Doctor so sorry im waitng my 6 months result. Will usually take about a week for results to cone back. Will it still be negative at 6 months. Im so pronaid. Sorry again
