testing period

hi doctor, i had protected sex (using condom) with a csw w/o knowing her hiv status 3 months ago (6 june 2011) in singapore. Few hours later went to see doctor and was given PEP treatment for one month. I had a few question to ask you.
1. Is my case consider high risk expourse
2. finish my pep(6 july) and next day(7 july) went for oral quick test using blood instead of saliva( those that test for antibody and result will show in 20 mins) result is negative. On the next day had unprotected sex with my wife, is my wife safe since my 1st test is negative.
3.got flu infection with fever on the 5th wk post expourse and same again on 91days post expourse, is this a common sign of hiv infection?
4. on 89days post expourse, had my 2nd test using oral quick test but this time is using saliva, result is negative. will i be a late seroconvert since i was on PEP before therefore not able to pickup any antibody, because i am afraid that it may cause a delay in the formation of the antibody.
5. Went for a 3rd test on 98 days post expourse, using the same test to test for antibody, result is also negative. How accurate is this oral quick test kit? my doctor in singapore told me to go for another test in 6months time if i want a 100% result.
6. is my test conclusive at 98 days? or do i need to continue at 6 month.. Is there any possible case where after 6 months is negative but tested positive one year later.
pls advice because i dunno whether to go for the 6 month test. i know if i did not take PEP in the first place, then i will not go for another test at 6 month, but now because i did take PEP, that is why i am struggling whether the results at 98 days is conclusive.

Teak takes conservative positions in line with many official agencies.  However, I am unaware of any data to support a need to wait 13 weeks after completion of PEP for reliable testing.

I stand by my opinions and advice above.  There is no point in discussing it further.  Feel free to be tested whenever you wish.  This thread is definitely over.

Hi Doctor H. Hunter, i did promise you that i will leave this thread after you reply my last question. But i happen to see and was confused by the medhelp forum regarding testing window period with PEP.
Can you enlighten me, Teak in themedhelp forum is very firm that a 13 weeks test is conclusive, but if i had taken PEP, then the 3 months window period should only start after the last dose of my PEP. So if that is true, then my 3.5months - 1 month of PEP is only 2.5 months. Is my test consider conclusive? What is your opinion for this,my anxiety is driving me crazy.

See my original reply, paragraph 2.  I see no reason to repeat myself.  Did you think I might have changed my mind?

These questions duplicate those on your recent thread, which Dr. Hook terminated because you kept seeking repeat answers with different words.

Even with PEP, your negative test result at 3.5 months (98 days) is conclusive.  You did not catch HIV and there is no need for additional testing.

There will be no follow-up comments or discussion.  There is no information you could provide that would change my opinion or advice.  Also please note that MedHelp permits a maximum of 2 questions every 6 months on the professionally moderated forums.  Any new question before next March will be deleted without reply, and without refund of the posting fee.  The purpose of the rule is to prevent domination of the forum by anxiety driven questions.
