Antibiotic resistance in HIV/AIDS patients

Antibiotic resistance in HIV/AIDS patients

Hello,
I posted this in the other forum but it may be more suitable for this one.  I was wondering how long it would take an individual to show resistance to antibiotics because of HIV/AIDS.
I've been battling campylobacter (food poisoning) for 6 weeks which I got while traveling in Spain.  I can't seem to shed the bug, after three courses of antibiotics I still have mild symptoms.  I read that HIV/AIDS infected individuals are more likely to show resistance to antibiotics in individuals with Campylobacter.  My last sexual encounter was around 7 weeks ago and I was tested after 5 weeks for HIV and it came back negative.  My question is whether somone could show resistance to antibiotics within the first weeks of exposure or is this more common in more advanced stages of HIV/AIDS?

Regards
