Could this be a way of HIV transmission?

Hi Doctor, I'm a new found HIV positive boy who hasn't started the medical treatment. A few weeks ago, i went to my friend's home to sleep over. And i accidently used his mouth-rinsing glass when i brushed my teeth. I was so concerned and anxious abt that. Would it be possible if there's some of my blood left on the glass when i brushed my teeth? I feel awful and self-condemned right now, i could have avoided that, but i forget. Pls tell me what should i do?

Nooo HIV is a ***** outside of the body, the temperature and conditions are no good plus the chemicals in the mouthwash!
You would have had to have blood all over the cup and your friend would need to have a bleeding mouth also and almost straight away put it on the cut, saliva kills a lot of germs its our first form of defence plus the mouthwash, the chances are miniscule to say the least but its nice ur so concerned for your friend although for your sake I'd just use your own bits from now xxx

You have been diagnosed of being HIV positive?
If that is so, you need to find venues to educate yourself on the condition.
Search the archives in medhelp.

You cannot infect other people in the manner you describe.
I commend you on being concerned about infecting other people , you appear to be a decent, caring  human being.  What you describe is a no risk situation.
Casual contact  does not pose a risk.
I urge you to research treatment and to stay in contact with your doctor, as with proper treatment HIV is no longer a death sentence and you can live a long and fulfilling life.
