He is Positive and wont do anything about it! HELP!!!

I contracted the virus in May of 2010, and started taking the meds on 04 AUG 2010. In between that time i had broken up with my boyfriend. Then when I came home from leave, I reconnected with him and found out for sure he gave me the virus. Lets just say i wasn't very pleased. But since i have been on meds im not dying. But he thinks it is a joke . He will ot go get his levels checked and he thinks its stupid that i take meds.

When he was a child his uncle died mof AIDS in the early 90's. Also one of his older brothers died of AIDS. I think he is scared of the meds and that it might kill him. Which is just plain stupid. He sees that the meds that I am taking are helping. I had a CD4 count of 245, and Viral load of +300,000. Now after six months of meds my CD4 count is 525 and Viral load below 50.

my question i guess is how the hell do i get him to go get his levels checked and start on meds?

Not everyone needs to go on meds straight away like you did some progress slowly  . Although it would be a good idea for him to get checked out  his probably  scared of the social stigma regarding. HIV and aids  the only thing you can do is find as much imformation about HIV  and encourage him to read it. It's not the death sentence it once was   Hope all goes well for you.  You have the right attitude to get tested go on meds. Before  the virus does more harm to you're  body  take care I wish you luck steve
