Interpretation of my last HIV tests

The results of my last HIV testing were CD4 count 320, CD4/CD8 0.83, Viral load undetectable. My previous tests were CD4 count 430, CD4/CD8 0.6, viral load undetectable. I am under medication (TRUVADA and STOCRIN). What is your opinion about the progression of the disease?

The change in the CD4/CD8 ratio is a bit puzzling. However the viral load is still undetectable so you're probably OK. You will need another test or two to see if this change has any meaning. The CD4 count isn't something you can evaluate much on a test-to-test basis (unless you've been sick - then it might be elevated). Teak is right, even the time of day can affect the CD4 count - this is why the ratio is typically a better indicator.

Did you have your blood tests done at the same time each drawing?
