Please help! My health is failing. Until recently, I have been taking Kaletra successfully for 13 years. I've dropped to 130 t-cells, bloodwork is all over the place, but my viral load is not high enough for a genotype test. I have many other health issues requiring numerous perscriptions including a great deal of pain medication. My body is so toxic it is shutting down.
My doctor wants me to switch to Isentress. He said I could try it for 3 months and if it did not work there would be no problem switching back to Kaletra because its absence will not create resistince toward future use.
Is that true? Do you have any other suggestions?
P.S. i do not understand hiv technichal terminology.
