EXCEPT gp31, ALL BANDS POSITIVE IN 2010, BUT IN FEB 2013 ONLY ENV BANDS POSITIVE, AGAIN IN AUG 2013 ONLY ENV BANDS POSITIVE.. IS THIS NORMAL VARIATION IN WB TEST. OR FALSE POSITIVE FOR ENV BANDS.? PLS GIVE YOUR VALUABLE OPINION..
Sorry for late reply Sir, MY FRIEND HAD BLOOD TRANSFUSION 13 YEARS BACK. NO RISK FACTORS. firstly he was tested weakly positive on ELISA 12years back. NOT ON HAART/ ANY MEDS TILL NOW. Had TB 3year back and CD4 was around 150. During TB, HIV WB ALL BANDS POSITIVE BUT NOT P31 BAND. Last year Indeterminate on WB with only ENV bands, repeatedly same pattern after 1year NO additional bands developed only ENV BANDS. After TB chemotherapy also CD4 NOT increasing. May be all these problems because of TB WHICH WAS THERE SINCE LONG TIME SMOKING 15YEARS. BUT i read that gold standard for HIV is WB which is NOT positive AND ELISA REPEATEDLY WEAKLY POSITIVE. IN THIS CASE. If he test PCR may be it will give false positive results due to other viruses. NOW NO MEDICAL PROBLEMS EXCEPT LOW CD4. PLEASE REPLY..
