I know we can't go off of symptoms, but please advise

I had an unprotected oral encounter, with an injury to urethra (felt as though when she went down, I felt a pain on the inside of the penis head).  This was May 21, 2010.

I tested on June 23, 2010 and June 25, 2010 (5 weeks after) one was lab test and the other rapid.  Both were negative.

Here are my symptoms:
- skin has been itchy (especially around armpits and legs)
- muscles twitching/kinda sore (briefly)
- tip of tongue was numb for 2-3 days
- currently, I am experiencing burned tongue syndrome

Should I be worried.  I am not getting too much sleep.  My appetite is down; I am eating because I know I have to eat.  When I do eat, it seems as though I am using the bathroom soon after and having more movements in a day than usual.

I will admit that I am very anxious, possibly stressed.  I am very nervous and waiting on my 3 month to find out my fate (God willing, I hope I am okay).

Looking at the information provided, does someone have any open and honest feedback?

The test that you took at 5 weeks proved that you did not catch HIV. Please accept that you did not catch HIV from your no risk situation and move on with your life. If you cannot accept the accuracy of the test, have a final test at 3 months and move on with your life.

I will try, joggen, but how can we be sure there was no blood contact?  If I suffered injury, maybe there was a cut/opening in my urethra and also somewhere in her mouth.

Also, what about the burning tongue syndrome?  I am having a real fright.  I am getting testing, again, at my 3 month mark, but would like to know about the burning tongue syndrome because it has been said to have been one of the symptoms.

Stop reading about symptoms on the Internet. The information is completely misleading and when people read about symptoms they become convinced that they have them. Burning tongue is not a sign of acute HIV infection and I highly doubt that you have any such syndrome.

Joggen, I think I am pretty sure I have burning tongue.  Tongue burns and the taste buds on the tongue bleeds.  I'll go a step further.  I have a yellowish-white film on the tongue in the evenings.

Are you sure this is not a symptom?  In addition to my original symptoms.  And, how can you be confident about my episode with the sex worker in Washington, DC that I dealt with that it was not a risk?

Whatever is going on with your tongue has nothing to do with HIV. If you are concerned about it see a doctor for a proper (i.e. not SELF-) diagnosis. Read MH's expert and international forums on oral sex if you don't believe my position on oral sex.

Thank you, joggen.  I did read that anxiety/stress can cause this as well.  I am just scared.  I'm noticing too much with my body.

Finally, who is MH and where can I find this document?  Is MH an expert in the field?

My final advice: Stay off HIV forums, stop reading up on HIV, and have a final test at 3 months.
