Educate Yourself About HIV

HIV hit the gay community hard when it was first discovered. Today more straight people are becoming infected with HIV than gay men. Why?  Too many straight people feel that only gay men need to worry aobut it and that straight people will not get it. Wake up!  

Every major city has a HIV organization that can provide you with educational material. Read it and have your kids read it. Its much eaiser to deal with it before they become infected than to watch them suffer and explain why you did not care enough to educate them. If you don't think you can openly talk about sex with your child. The AIDS organizations in major cities will have educational classes. Have you child attend one.

While it is important to remember that a risk is a risk, period, you actually are incorrect.  New infections of HIV still remains the highest among homosexual men...with unprotected sex between two men being one of the highest risk factors.

That being said...again...a risk is a risk, and no one (heterosexual, homosexual, etc) should be placing themselves at risk.  Condoms work and should be used porperly for all insertive anal/vaginal intercourse.
