4th gen tests only for antibodies

which generation of test it is: HIV antibody screening test using Abbott Determine Recombigent Assay kit. They took blood form my nerve and gave the result in 4 hours time.

What % effective nad reliable it is at 38 days

This test was done in India

I called up with the Lab and they say, its a 4th generation test but only look for antibodies. Is it possible. I have read everywhere that 4th gen tests look for antibodies and virus itself.

Are there 4th gen tests only for antibodies. Does my lab make sense
