after my partner tested positive for hiv , i tested nearly at the 4 months mark by western blot , which searched for antibodies for gp120,gp160, gp41,p24,p17,p66,p51,p31,p55 and hiv 2 specific band, the result was neagtive and hiv 2 not indicated. does this test covers all subtypes and groups of hiv or do i have to under go separate tests, and i have not done any elisaElisa Elisa/western blot tests for hiv Lyme disease antibody test so do i have to take an elisaElisa Elisa/western blot tests for hiv Lyme disease antibody or the test westernblot is enough, i have also taken an dna qualitative pcr which was negative, and one more thing i would like to add is that they have tested my sample 6 days after they had drawn nlood sample of me , could that might have affected my results please give me some adivice as since my partner have tested positive i am i a panicPanic disorder Panic disorder with agoraphobia state of mind.
I AM SORRY BUT THE ANSWER THAT I GOT IS WAY OFF TRACK, FIRST I DONT SEE THE POINT IN TESTING AGAIN SINCE I GOT THE CONFIRMATORY WESTERN BLOT NEGATIVE, AND MY SECOND QUESTION IS THAT WOULD THE DELAY OF 6 DAYS BY MY LAB IN TESTING FOR THE WESTERN BLOT AFFECT THE RESULTS
AND ONE MORE QUESTION I ASKED THAT IS DOES WESTERN BLOT COVERS ALL SUBTYPES OF HIV I DONT THINK I GOT ONE SINGLE ANSWER, I KNOW ONE SHOULD ALWAYS GO FOR AN ELISA FIRST THAT IS NOT THE POINT , I JUST WANNA KNOW DOES MY WESTERN BLOT NEGATIVE , AND NEGATIVE DNA PCR HOLDS GROUND OR ITS JUST A SHOW PIECE
can you give me some advice
