Dr.HHH says 6 weeks is conclusive unless you had a VERY HIGH risk. Everywhere they regard 12weeks as absolutely conclusive. Your result is 100% sure you don't have HIV.

Stay safe.

i really want to know if you have any idea if low lymphocytes cause dellay in antibody production. Can you please share your thoughts on that. Normally lymphocytes range between 20 and 45? During acute infection do lymphocytes fall down or go up. And what is the effect on WBC count? Can somebody please throw some information on this?

What ever it is, it is unrelated to HIV.

Sorry to hear about your OI's. I hope you have good medical guidance to get through with the difficult times.

thanks for replying. I tried to collect this information from some doctors who were looking in my case as well and they informed me that a high WBC is generally indicative of a bacterial infection. A bacterial infection causes neutrophils to rise which  subsequently effects the lymphocytes count to fall.

On the other hand for viral infection, they informed me that normally both WBC and lymphocytes fall to lower levels.
I am asking this because I am not sure whether what I have been told by docs really hold much weight and if anyone know more about it.

It is almost always seen people get CBC's done when they have a risk of exposure. I also got it done 2 weeks post exposure and by WBC was at 15.6 when normal range should be 4-11. My neutrophils were 77.5 when they should not be more than 75 and my lymphocytes were 16 when they should be between 20-45. This made me scared further as it assured me that I picked up some infection along with the symptoms.

There are several lymphocytes within the body. HIV bonds to the T helper lymphocytes to multiply. No, your T Cells or commonly called CD4 do not fall at the beginning of infections. It may take years for some to fall and for others it could be a year. As for the effect on the WBC it could have no changes or it could be elevated. The NORMAL CD4 (T helper Lymphocytes) range is between 500-1500+. Your lymphocytes will not delay antibody production.
