2 different home testing kits +

i have unprotected receptive anal sex with multiple partners, i have swollen lymph nodes and i am deathly scared of what is going on with me...so i purchased a home testing kit for HIV i was so shocked i could not explain how i feel,so alone,it appears positive but the reaction is very weak...another day i purchased different brand and again it is positive...is it possible to have false positive with home testing kits???please anyone out there who feel my pain please help,i have no one to turn to...

go and get urself tested at a recognised centre using the best method of testing available..only this will clear ur mind..be strong..cheers

OK, first things first - home testing kits are not a good idea.  There is only ONE home testing kit approved in the US, I don't know about the Philippines.  What you need to do is to go and and get a regular HIV blood test done.  If for whatever reason you cannot afford to do so, the only reliable home testing kit that I know of is the Home Access Kit.  I wish you the best of luck, it sounds like you'll need it.

i am still working here abroad,away from my family and loved ones...really no one is here to comfort me...i keep on imagining things in the future,like will ever hold the hands of my nieces and nephews???up to now i am still crying....the access to medicine here i think is very difficult...and i am so scared to do western blot for confirmatory,maybe i can not take the next blow....it's is like i am heading nowhere,like i have no future...so lost...

really???teak???i wish i can talk to you,you are the first to know of my results...i am from philippines...i have a very sad story really...you have idea of the cost of medications...

There will be a lot of people here to write to, while waiting for official results and after your results! Regardless of the results it is not the end. Teak (a person on these forums) has lived with it for over 20 years and that was before all the medical advances of the world today. Don't worry you will have people to talk to.

you need to see a doctor. especially after reading the beginning of the first sentence. You will be hurting yourself and others if you don't get confirmation. you and your partner should always use condoms.
