24hr HIV cure

Hello...

I have abstained for the last 4 yrs but just yesterday i had unprotected sex. he says he was clean, i examined his penis for anything odd and was ok. but it just hit me that HIV exists and that i could be infected. I know it is stupid, but living in my abstinence bubble lead to me slacking in vigilance. My question is, is there a treatment i can take within 24hrs to cure any possibilty of contraction? and what is it called?

please help, i cant sleep.

If you are a woman, in an islamic country, this is very low risk. I think you are translating the burden of the social mores in your country to an HIV panic.

If you are a man, risk from 1 incidence of anal sex is <1/50. The odds are your partner was not infected. Test at 3 months for a conclusive result. Most people who contract HIV have repeated high risk exposures.

3 minutes of pleasure for a life time of heartache. I doubt a doctor will give you PEP not knowing your partners status. The only way you will know is by going to the doctor and asking. You have 72 hours from time of exposure to get on PEP and the sooner that better.

i believe you can take a course of diffrent hiv drugs called PEP

im from the uk and i know its availabe from the emergency dept at any hospital, i would presume you could do the same

pep is not a cure, its a course of anti viral drugs that may lower the chance of you acquiring hiv.

regards
