test and the result came back after 5.5 weeks. I understand that there is a lower risk if its a once off causual encounter. What are the chances of my test result being conclusive. Please advise
5.5 weeks is too early..but you should be happy with a negative result..
Dr.HHH in the expert forum says that he has never seen anyone who tests negative at 6-8 weeks go on to test positive..
however, you must test again at 3 months for a conclusive result..
never have unprotected sex
I keep reading all these things about 3rd and 4th generation tests. From what I understand, DR HHH says that it is very unlikely for someone at the 6 week mark to turn positive later , if the test used was a 4th generation test. I was tested using the Oral swab, test which gets results in 20 mins.
Is that as good or as acurate as the 4th generation tests?

Hi Teak, I understand that I will need to test again at 3 months to be conclusive. But would the oral swab test be equilavent to a 4th generation test? or is it a 3rd generation.
Please let me know, I just want to get some reassurance, no matter how little it may be
