6 weeks reliable?

hey guys i just got tested today and it came back NEGATIVE! am so happy..do i need future testing at all after 6 weeks?
OraQuick  Negative.
my exposure was condom broke. unprotected less than 5min.

your 6 weeks test is very,very reassuring, but still think you should get a 13 weeks conclusive, only to move on, comfortably, congratulations though, that is awesome

Doc HHH would say you are good to go; others that are more conservative would say test to three months. Either way you have to decide who you want to believe more but six weeks is really really really reassuring of a negative result at the three month mark if you decide to test again then. goodluck and Godbless!

Hello. I'm female and i had unprotected sex with a man in dec 2006. I got all paranoid and went to a gum clinic after 2 weeks and got tested for std's which all came back negative. Then got paranoid about hiv and had a test at the gum clinic at 4 weeks which was negative, then obviously realised this was too early and went a to London private cinic at 6 weeks and had the duo test which was negative. The doctor said that was conclusive and that i need to now get on with my life. But i am still so paranoid i have got it. I have strange pains in my fingers and legs and have had vaginal thrush. Been to the doctor 4 times and been told i am suffering from anxiety and i am being ultra sensitive to my body. The doctors said that no test is ever 100% and i should accept the duo test result and move on. I have 2 children and im just out of my mind with worry. I just wanted someone elses opioion on this. Do i need another test at 12 weeks or am i being silly? many thanks
