7 weeks later and VERY Confused

I know, I know...my question is practically the most common one around...

About 7 weeks ago, I had sex with a stripper at a relatively reputable strip club in Southern California.

It began as oral, and she didn't use teeth or any non-lip contact, and it didn't feel like it broke, and then it proceeded to vaginal sex, with the same condom.  I checked the condom later, and it didn't show any signs of breakage, and it didn't slip.

shortly after the event, I'm not sure if it was nerves and guilt or something else, but I began feeling off....muscle pain, intense fatigue, but no swollen glands as far as I could tell...

now, 7 weeks later, I notice that a gland of some sort is visible on my neck, but it isn't tender, though very swollen.  I don't feel much right now any more, but the aches and pains bothered me enough to get tested...

Am I pretty much guaranteed a negative, or should I actually begin considering the possiblity of the dreaded positive?

Please, I'm really beginning to get worried...

Your risk was virtually zero.

Otherwise, I am not going to answer.  Apparently you missed the following paragraph, which is prominently displayed after to click the "Post a Question" link.  I'm only responding now because this is the first day of the new policy, and this reply helps me emphasize it to other forum users:

"If you have not done so, please review other threads in our archives and the FAQs for questions similar to yours and Dr. Handsfield's replies.  Questions that duplicate other frequent ones, for which abundant replies exist, and that have little educational value for other forum users, will be DELETED WITHOUT RESPONSE.  YOUR DONATION WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.  The most common examples of such questions are those about low risk exposures to HIV, such as oral sex, hand-to-genital exposure, and nonsexual contact with possibly infected blood or body fluids."

Good luck--  HHH, MD
