A bought of Anxiety

Hi
I am Female 23 year old currently living in Singapore, 4 weeks ago I was on holiday in Patong, Thailand and ended up in a rather drunk situation with a Thai man, I know nothing of his history and can't remember much of the conversation we had.

I do know that a condom was used as I asked for it but not sure at what point in the night and if anything had happened before this point. I am also not sure of the exact details, I do believe there was vaginal and anal intercourse both I think were with a condom but I couldn't say 100% which is what is causing my main anxiety. Last week (3 weeks) I went for a rapid HIV test which came back negative, the doctor told me though that this was pretty meaningless for this encounter which i'm really, really anxious about and that I should come back at the 3 month mark.

However is it worth me going back this week? next week? Just to relieve my anxiety, would the result be conclusive enough that I can relax?

Thanks

If you think a condom was used then most likely you are correct. Of course, only you can make that determination. Since you aren't sure have another test at 6 weeks if you need the reassurance- if the test is negative then you can relax, as tests at 6 weeks are very accurate and extremely unlikely to change. Follow up with a 3 month test for confirmation. It is extremely unlikely that you will test positive.
