A conclusive ELISA?

Hi,
I have done an ELISA (unknown generation, but I'm sure that it isn't 4th generation) 4 months after an unprotected relation with an ex-girlfriend. Can the result be considered 100%? Is it conclusive or I need to do another test later?

The OP was saying he took the test at 4 months post exposure.  Teak's reply was that his test at 4 months was conclusive.  You misinterpreted what he was saying.

Hi there,

I guess, we all can choose to believe what we want....but the fact is a 3 months HIV test is conclusive.

I have no idea where you are located but in the US and most surrounding countries the conclusive test is 3 months and has been three months for several years. The CDC hasn't used 6 months in years. I would suggest you get updated on your information.

All,

doesn't matter how many times you/I/we ask about the conclusive test timeline, Teak is gonna answer the same thee months.

He replied to this question with the same answer for several times.
So can we not bother him with the same question?

Teak, do u really believe that? Answer strait …I’ve heard sth like this too, like : 3 months for low risk and 6months for high…..but that’s like: ok , if you already know you’re not infected, just test at 3, but if you know you could be, test at 6. This would mean that for every person who has a deal in testing, they should test 6months.
Because, for sexual risk…it would be highly doubtable a co-infection as HCV is very rarely transmitted that way. Right? (i posses a 15weeks test result for high risk exposure, should be enough, right?)
