, gum disease or frequently bleeding gums & Mouth Ulcers & they engage in open mouthed kissing which involves the exchange of saliva & maybe some blood along with it & one of the partners is HIV
ve+ (being recently infected)...what is the quantum of risk to the other partner who is negative...?
2. I did browse through the forums looking for a few answers....when it's mentined a low quantum of risk for any particular situation, does it mean that these actions are low risk ever if the partner is confirmed to be HIV
Please let me know whether i could be infected ???? What is the level of risk in point 1.......I've been having weakness, irritable bowels & muscle aches ever since....could these be symptoms of HIV.......I'm unable to sleep peacefully since the incident...please help me out......even thought my partner was found to be HIV ve+ i've not broken off from her......I'd like to support her..............thanx !!!!
Thanx Teak............Even if there were traces of blood in her saliva it wouldn't be a worry correct ??? As i mentioned i've been having pretty bad Oral hygene...with cuts on lips, on the gums.......& ulcers in various parts of the mouth.......
I'm quite aware now that kissing isn't a risk, but if there were any traces of blood in the saliva would it turn the tables on me ????
I had bitten the area close to the ulceration in my mouth & injured it morning of the day i had engaged in the kissing.....she had also stuck her tongue inside my mouth......so what ur'e saying is that even if Blood was present in saliva, the saliva would have deactivated the virus.....not allowing it to infect me through the ulcer in the mouth or the injury i had sustained when i had bitten the insdie of my cheek close by the ulcer ???
Has there ever been a documented case of transmission via kissing ????
Now its been a week since the incident & i've developed Mild symptoms of fatigue & weakness.....hope there's nothing to be worried about with respect to HIV !!! & i'm also not going to break up with my girlfriend because she's been tested positive......& also wanted to to know whether i can still kiss her close mouthed ?????
You can kiss her, have oral sex, and perform cunnilingus, fingering, vaginal intercourse with a condom with water-based lubricant, and/or anal sex with a condom and plenty of water-based lubricant. These are all safe activities.
With intercourse, be careful to always use a condom correctly and consistently. There is a small risk that the condom may break.
Hi There, Thank you so much for replying to my query....
So you're saying even though i had poor oral hygene , with broken & chapped lips, maybe bleeding gums & the ulcers inside my mouth there's no way HIV would have permeated through the mouth to cause infection.......???? Thank heavens for that !!!
Yeah well kissing was not the only exposure...i also indulged in vaginal fingering....I'm aware fingering in general is a low risk activity...however the finger i used to perform it has a small roundish discoloration on it...which the doctor earlier told me was caused due to constantly holding cigarrettes around there......Can HIV permeate through areas like these ??? or would it have to completely broken skin or freshly cut wound.....
Í was only posting here because of these hypothetics that wre involved....Kindly do educate me so that i could leave this behind & Move on....!!!! & yeah i'm also gonna be helping my GF get the timely & proper treatment !!!
Thanx Lizzie, so you're saying that even if i tested over this incident (WHICH I AM SURE IS NOT WARRANTED) i would still only test negative & you would bet ur'e bottom dollar on that......
I'm otherwise a very healthy guy, its very unfortunate that my girlfriends been affected by this......i'm unable to concentrate with the regular chores of life & my gym workouts are also suffering.....
Can i just let go.......& look into the future without having to worry about HIV ????
