? I know this was the worse mistake of my life, and the guilt is all ready overwhelming, I don't think I could live with myself if I spread a disease to my husband.
= You put yourself at risk! Chances he had HIV is about 1 in 1000 and the chance you got HIV from him (If he has HIV that is) is around 1 in 1000 per single exposure. Put those two together and you get about a 1 in 1 million chance of infection so odds are on your side. But mind you it only takes once sometimes so don't risk it.
You will need to take an HIV test 3 months past your exposure to get your 100% sure results. Also to ease stress if possible ask the guy to get tested if he is neg. chances of you getting it is slim to none.
Also don't sleep with your husband until you find out for sure. or just use condoms until then
I agree with the above post that the odds are very slim, however, it's always better to be safe than sorry. Test at three months just to ease your mind.
