A question of swollen lymph node

by worried_123, Jul 18, 2007 08:44AM
Dear All,

I have been experiencing painless swollen lymph nodes in neck and armpit after a potential exposure with a ***** in China.

Can I say I am infected?

Have your "swollen" lymph nodes been diagnosed by a physician as such? if not, do not rely on self-daignosis. Symptoms do not mean anything. There are no symptoms specific to HIV.
What was your exposure? unprotected vaginal? anal? how long ago was it? If so, get a standard antibody test at 6-8 weeks from exposure and follow it up with a 12/13 week test which would be conclusive.
No one here can tell you if you were infected or not. Only a test will tell you.
Good luck
