AIDS and HIV

Ok, I know that if i have sex with HIV + and get infected with HIV then after 8-10 years it will be AIDS.

However, what if I have sex with a person who already developed AIDS,...does it mean I will be infected with AIDS?

  A I D S is a stage where you immune system has done fighting with the virus and cant take it anymore. HIV is virus dat can be transmitted. so (pardon me ) even if u get hiv it will take as long as ten years to develop aids.

Mike, the reason for the increase of HIV is knowledge. Condoms unlike here in the US are not readily available. The use of SWers is very high and without condoms. IV drug abuse and sharing works is a cause. Bisexuality is another reason for the high increase of HIV most all of this falls back on the lack of knowledge.

I'm trying to find out an answer to a question but unable to get it, I wanted to know why is it that the heterosexual transmission in Asia is the major cause of HIV than any thing else, is it the subtype 'C' which's responsible?

I have an appointment with a specialist on Saturday, I'm definitely going to ask him about it but what do you think ?

Just because someone has HIV does not mean that they will ever get AIDS. With the new retroviral medication, the chances of one going into advanced HIV disease is slim.
